ITINERARY*

Day 01: Saturday, October 01
Depart from Newark International Airport to Munich 

Day 02: Sunday, October 02
Morning arrival in Munich, Capital of Bavaria and Germany's third largest city founded by Monks in 1158. The city has evolved into a world class metropolis for good taste and its own enchanting ambiance. The Wittelsbach Dynasty ruled the onetime Kingdom of Bavaria for more than 800 years, leaving its mark in art and culture, rich in testimony to the Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque and Rococo past. You are met by your Tour Manager and transfer to your deluxe motorcoach for a leisurely drive and visit to Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Afterwards continue to Innsbruck, Austria and hotel check-in. Dinner in Hotel.

Day 03: Monday, October 03
Your morning guided city tour of Innsbruck -a city that dates back to the 12th century-includes the Goldene Dachel, built in 1420 by Emperor Maximillian l; the City Tower built in 1440, featuring a 16th century bulbous cupola and the newly renovated St.Jacob's Cathedral; and visiting the Old Town. Mountain excursion by funicular from lnnsbruck downtown to "Hungerburg" plateau and continue by cable car to the top of the mountain "Hafeleka" with a superb view over lnnsbruck and the "lnn River Valley''. Dinner in local restaurant "Stiftskeller."

Day 04:Tuesday, October 04
Early morning departure via St.Anton and the 6,000 ft. Arlberg Pass to the 50-square-mile principality of Liechtenstein with a short stop in the fairy-tale 12th century Vaduz, the capitol. Continue through breathtaking Swiss Alpine scenery to Lucerne. Participate in a guided city tour of Luzerne including the world's most famous monument "The Dying Lion of Luzerne," hewn out of natural rock in commemoration of the Swiss Mercenaries at the Tuileries in 1792, the Chapel Bridge dating back to 1333 which offers an imposing display of medieval art and architecture. Remainder of the day free to shop and stroll through a maze of small streets, bridges, promenades and plazas. Attention Ladies: Bucherers is Switzerland's largest retailing store for watches, jewelry, gold, and precious stones and should not be missed. Returning late afternoon to lnnsbruck.

Day 05: Wednesday, October 05
Morning excursion over the breathtaking Europabrucke crossing the 5,000 ft. Brenner pass into Alto Adige region of northern ltaly to the medieval cobblestone village of Vipiteno, noted for its excellent buy's in leather goods, silk, ltalian fashion and naturally some of the region's finest wines. Return to lnnsbruck - free afternoon at leisure - lunch and dinner on your own!

Day 06: Thursday, October 06
Full day tour of Salzburg, the delightful and elegant city of music known throughout the world as the birthplace of none other than Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. A city of wide open plazas, narrow medieval lanes, impressive monuments from the 18th century dominated by the magnificent fortress of Hohensalzburg. Your sightseeing includes the remarkable Residence, the Old Town, Haus of Mozart and other exciting highlights. Remainder of day at leisure to shop along the Getreidegasse, treat yourself to a Fiaker ride (horse carriages) and some sinful Salzburger pastries. Returning late afternoon to lnnsbruck. Special "farmhouse style dinner" in nearby "sistrans at Gasthof Glungeze" with entertainment by a local folklore group.

Day 07: Friday, October 07
Morning transfer to Bavaria - visit Monastery Brewery and Beer Museum in Ettal Monastery with guided tour of liqueur distillery and brewery with beer tasting! Continue to the Passion Play Village Oberammergau (site of the famous Passion Play every 10 years). Leisure time for lunch and shopping. Arrive at your Munich hotel in the afternoon. Dinner in local restaurant.

Day 08: Saturday, October 08
Morning guided city walking tour including the "performing" Glockenspiel (Carrilon) at the historic Marienplatz. Afternoon at leisure for last minute shopping and for individual activities. Farewell Dinner at LOWENBRAU Cellar (walking distance from hotel).

Day 09: Sunday, October 09
Morning transfer to Munich airport for USA flight.
